About
The LOEWE research cluster “Conflict regions in Eastern Europe” juxtaposes past and present of Eastern European regions and societies. Our goal is to construct an interdisciplinary, multi-perspective typology of these conflict regions.
The Hessian state-sponsored research cluster is directed by the Justus Liebig University in cooperation with the Giessen Center for Eastern European Studies (GiZo) and the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe, a member of the Leibniz Community.
Spokespersons of the LOEWE research cluster are Prof. Dr. Monika Wingender (JLU/GiZo) and Prof. Dr. Peter Haslinger (Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe). The project coordinator is Dr. Aksana Braun (JLU/GiZo).
